Tromsø

The city of Tromsø is the largest one in Northern Norway. Nearly 70 000 people live here, and Tromsøya is connected by bridges on both sides, both to Kvaløya and to the mainland on the opposite side. It’s an athletic town, with elite teams within several sports. Soccer, volleyball and basketball. Last year the national cross-country championship was held here. Tromsø also wanted to hold the Winter Olympics in 2018. The alpine speed competitions were going to be held at Blåtind, where we now have the Blåtind Arctic Race. Tromsø is a called “Paris of the North”, and is a fantastic town if you’re looking for places to hang out with friends, or just have a coffee by yourself.
